If you read this blog post, I assume you have already read my story on my website. Or do I assume incorrectly? Many of my colleagues would laugh their head off seeing me write this...I assume!! 🤣 🤣 🤣 Do you know why?
Because my #1 rule is NO ASSUMPTIONS...and there is a good reason for that. If I just assume my products are great, if I just assume natural is the best, if I just assume natural, plant based oils can do wonders to your skin....well...that would be just wrong on every level. I know that my products are great because I use them for more than 10 years and my skin never felt any better; I know that natural is the best because every time I used something synthetic, my skin didn`t like it; and I know that natural oils can do wonders to your skin because even when my skin turned to be on the oily side (boo the M word), I kept using the appropriate oil combination and my skin still felt good about it - and I didn`t even end up like a grease ball.
I didn`t tell you that I actually studied organic skincare and I am still studying various elements of it. Henry Ford once said “Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at 20 or 80. Anyone who keeps learning stays young.” So here I am never stop learning. Ha-ha-ha...But this is not the only reason why I am still learning this wonderful subject, it is because our world just keeps developing so fast that great studies come out almost every day recommending what is actually brilliant for the skin and what is not so great.
I told you the above so you understand I am not just mixing some oils in my cauldron in my kitchen but actually there is some science behind it which I am keen to share with you along this journey.
So, just for the record....this is definitely NOT me 😉
My aim with my products was always to create a no nonsense face oil where you know exactly what you put on your face, no fillers, no cheap ingredients, no parabens, no petroleum, no nasties at all. For this reason you will need really just a few drops (2-3 drops for your face) of my oils otherwise you will end up like a grease ball. And you can take that as a promise! 😉 This is one of the many ways how you can recognise a truly great product when you just need a teeny-weeny amount and so your product will last for much longer.
I will post more about what it means a product being natural, some fun myth busters about natural skincare and also some not so fun skin ageing topic and many more. So please keep coming back as I will share some more with you every now and then.
Naturally yours,
Melitta 🥰
